2) Another way to make word clouds is to use the "tag cloud generator" app in the Add-ons menu in Google Documents. When you have a Google Document open, open the Add-ons menu and search for "tag cloud generator." The Tag Cloud Generator Add-on will create a word cloud in the right-hand margin of any of your Google Documents that contain more than one hundred words.
Ideas for Student Projects
Randall students can write reviews for books in our library by logging in to the computer catalog, searching for a title, clicking on the title, then clicking on reviews, then clicking on “add review”. The review is then sent to Michelle to approve, edit or delete. When the review is published, it is published anonymously. Wenda’s class recently wrote reviews as a culminating project. Because the system will time you out if you take too much time writing, it is suggested that students write the review in Google Drive, then copy and paste their review to the catalog. Please let Michelle know if you would like your class to do this.
