A Library Media Technology Specialist: What?
We promote the joy of reading, learning, creating, collaborating, and researching.
We work with students, staff, families, and community members to partner, collaborate, promote, and facilitate access to information in a wide variety of formats.
We instruct how to acquire, evaluate, and use information and technology, and introduce literature and resources to help learners participate in our global society as lifelong readers and learners, critical thinkers, skillful researchers, and safe, ethical users and producers of information. (American Library Association).
Lost Books?
It happens! We ask students to keep looking for their book(s) in places like their classroom libraries or book boxes, and of course at home. In the meantime, we look in our library too! After a few weeks, if nothing is found or shows up, I will send an overdue notice with the book price written on it. Cash or checks made out to the Lindbergh Library are accepted. However, if you happen to find the book later on, we will gladly refund the full amount. We would rather have the book than your money! If there is a special circumstance or hardship case surrounding the lost book, we can work it out. Please contact me at almeloy@madison.k12.wi.us.
