How Do I Get Help With my Chromebook in the Summer?

Families who need help with fixing, obtaining or returning an MMSD Chromebook, Chromebook charger, or hotspot, can call 608-204-5678. Help is available to them from June 22 - July 31 through the Family Tech Support Help Desk. If families need assistance after July 31, they will be able to contact school personnel for assistance once the school year begins again.  

Las familias que necesiten ayuda para arreglar, obtener o devolver un Chromebook MMSD, un cargador Chromebook o un punto de acceso pueden llamar al 608-204-5678. La ayuda está disponible desde el 22 de junio al 31 de julio a través de la mesa de ayuda de Family Tech Support. Si las familias necesitan asistencia después del 31 de julio, podrán comunicarse con el personal de la escuela para recibir ayuda una vez que el año escolar comience nuevamente.

Chromebook Not Working Properly?

Remote Learning during the time of COVID-19

No Internet at Home? 

UPDATE: Charter is extending their programs through June 30. Here is their official announcement for more details.

Charter will offer free Spectrum broadband and Wi-Fi access for 60 days to households with K-12 and/or college students who do not already have a Spectrum broadband subscription at any service level up to 100 Mbps. To enroll call 1-844-488-8395. Installation fees will be waived for new student households. See more information HERE.

WiFi Access Points are now live at 5 school sites

Our Wireless Access Points (WAPs) are ready to be accessed by students and staff using district-issued devices at five school sites. Details, including social distance guidelines, are here.

Dream Bus WiFi Access

The Dream Bus bookmobile is now operating as a mobile WiFi hotspot. It will be parked at the following locations Monday through Thursday. Observe the same social distancing guidelines required for our school site WiFi access points. 

10am-12pm: the corner of Monterey Dr. and Trailsway St. near Warner Park
1-3pm: Allied Drive Learning Center at 2237 Allied Dr.

Read Digitally!

Since your physical school library and possibly your local public libraries are closed, try eBooks or audiobooks!

  • Sora (from Madison Metropolitan School District): app or website
  • Libby (from Wisconsin public libraries): app or website
  • SYNC Audiobooks for Teens (2 free-to-keep audiobook downloads every Thursday): add to your Sora account
