Battle of the Books Date to Know


  • December - teams register
  • December until end of February -- read books
  • End of February - school competitions
  • Beginning of March - district-wide (City) competitions

2022 School Battle Schedule:

6th grade - Tuesday, February 22 during UAs in the LMC

7th grade - Wednesday, February 23 After School in the LMC

8th grade - Thursday, February 24 After School in the LMC

2022 District Competition Schedule: These usually take place the second week of March.

6th grade - Via Zoom Tuesday, March 8

7th grade - Via Zoom Wednesday, March 9

8th grade - Via Zoom Thursday, March 10

Battle of the Books 2021-2022

Battle of the Books is a fun, friendly activity where teams of students read books from a specified list and then compete in a trivia competition based on those books. Students should form a team with at least two other students, but not more than 3 other students. The school competition will be at the end of February and the District/City-wide competition is the 2nd week of March.
