MMSD's Library Media & Technology department recommends that students at all elementary grade levels receive instruction on the topic of Digital Citizenship. Classroom, REACH, and Library teachers should work together to see that this curriculum is being covered.

To use this website, look at the tab(s) for your grade level(s) and determine appropriate times to integrate Digital Citizenship Lessons into the curriculum. Your school's Library Media & Technology Specialist can serve as a resource in this area.

The lessons under the grade level tabs are directly linked to the online resource Common Sense Media(CSM). You will need to sign in to the CSM website and can do so using your email address or Google+ account.

On the MMSD website, the CSM Digital Citizenship Scope and Sequence has been rearranged to better fit our needs. Feel free however to use any and all lessons when they apply to your teaching. The grade level tabs are there as suggestions as to when to introduce the topics. We realize lesson needs may differ from school to school.

(The MMSD K-5 Digital Citizenship Scope and Sequence for G1 Schools was also used as a guide for this website.)
