Have you seen MMSD's OverDrive site?
Access it at:
http://madisonk12.lib.overdrive.com/
Your "Library Card Number" is your b#.
Your "PIN" is your network login password.
Browse around in it and get an idea of the types of things that we currently have available in e-book & audiobook format.
Under the "Collections" heading you can look at specialized collections, such as Professional Development titles, titles in Spanish, etc.
OverDrive Simple Logins are now live and available to use. This general login may be used for certain purposes where short-term checkout is preferred. A patron's regular login still works, this is just another option when using OverDrive.

Does there need to be permission to access OverDrive content for students 13 years or younger?
No. There is no need to get permission for students 13 years or younger (we don't get their permission to check out print books). Elementary students will only see books that are leveled for junvenile fiction or non-fiction. Students in MS will be able to see the juvenile and YA titles. HS students and adult patrons will be able to see all of the content from juvenile through adult selections.
Is there a way for the youngest students to have a generic user name and password to OverDrive?
Yes! Please see the left hand column for more information about "Simple Login" options

Although you can create a shopping cart for your school site, you can not order directly from OverDrive. Just like other book and AV library orders, Jan Opelt will be the one entering the orders into MUNIS. Please see the "OverDrive Ordering Directions for MMSD Librarians" document (which is linked at the top of this box) for specific ordering details.
Click the YouTube icon on the lower right side in order to watch it on a larger sized screen.
Use this form to request access level changes for patrons:
Librarians are set up as OverDrive administrators at their building. You may do certain administrative tasks, such as remove titles from a patron's bookshelf (items currently checked out). Login to OverDrive Marketplace with your username & password. From the main screen of OverDrive Marketplace > ‘Support’ tab > ‘Return titles’. You can search by barcode (user ID) or by title. Once you find the title that needs to be returned, put a checkmark next to it and select “Return title(s)”. This will remove the title from the patron’s account.
Patrons can also early return titles (they don’t have to wait for the titles to automatically expire at the end of the lending period). Here’s an OverDrive Help article that details the process:http://help.overdrive.com/
